Interested in making a difference in a girl’s life? Become a Girl Scout Volunteer!

Whatever your interest, the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York will work with you to figure out the best volunteer opportunity for you! Our Girl Scout volunteers are comprised of a diverse group of women and men whose expertise, skills, interests, life experience, and availability match the many volunteer opportunities we have, and who work collectively with other volunteers and GSNENY staff to nurture each girl’s individuality and leadership qualities.

How to Get Started as a Volunteer:

Complete a Volunteer Application (under “Application Packet”) and return it to the Volunteer Engagement Specialist by:

If you have any questions or need help deciding the best position for you e-mail volunteering@gsneny.org or call 518-489-8110.

Once we receive and process your application (which may include a background check) you will be notified of your next steps to get started!

Some of the steps may include:

  • An interview with a local volunteer
  • Completing required online training
  • Position Orientation
  • Signing a Volunteer Position Description
