Overview
The Girl Scout experience gives girls the confidence and the tools to lead – to find inside the uncertain girl, the citizen who will make a difference in her world. To have an impact on a global scale, 21st Century girls will need to work together. In Girl Scouts, girls have access to the most supportive learning environment throughout their developmental years. Being a Girl Scout makes the world smaller and the girl bigger.
The Girl Scout Program, based on expert research, provides engaging and worthwhile activities that respond to the needs of today’s girls, with the flexibility that respects their busy lives – and yours!
Girls can participate in a variety of activities and experiences: badge requirements, outdoor experiences, the cookie program, field trips near home and travel abroad, Girl Scouts Bronze/Silver/Gold Award Take Action Projects, and the opportunity to experience the traditions that make Girl Scouting unique.
Consider attending Girl Scouts Leadership Institute (GSLI) Today!
GSLI stands for Girl Scout Leadership Institute. Girl participants will meet with Girl Scouts from around the country to make new friends, engage in program activities, create plans to lead change in their communities, meet with adults who will provide presentations, and attend interesting workshops. This year’s GSLI will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Fill out the appropriate paperwork to apply.
