It will be at the Albany Institute of History and Art (125 Washington Avenue Albany, NY 12210) and will be from 2:00 – 4:00pm.

We hope to see you there to celebrate the wonderful work these ladies have produced!

We are proud to announce the launch of our Girl Advisory Board, or GAB. GAB is a place for Girl Scout Juniors and above to come together and have their voices heard. GAB will advise our CEO, Kerry Connolly, on the issues they face within themselves, their communities and their world. Girls will use their passion and creativity around these issues into designing council-wide programs. We want our girls to guide us in the future direction of Girl Scouting; what do they see for GSNENY in the coming year, 10 years, and 100 years. We are now accepting applications until August 15th. We will announce our first official meeting in the coming months, which will be in the fall. We are looking for Girl Scouts from all over our council, as we will meet bi-monthly, throughout our council’s jurisdiction, two of those meetings will be in person.

No matter how big or small, you have a voice and should be heard! Fill out the application and be a part of GAB today! If you have any questions, please contact Allison Marinucci at 489-8110 X112 or amarinucci@gsneny.org.

The troop was inspired to make quilts after participating in the annual Shenendehowa Quilt Project. Troop 2278 was helped by Sarah Coons’s Daisy-Brownie Troop 2599. Materials were donated by Clifton Park residents. Funds were also raised by a bottle/can drive lead by Brad Piziali. The Blankets of Care Project was completed as community service toward earning the prestigious Girl Scout Bronze Award.
