International Trips 2014

Ecuador – Culture, Cloud Forests, and Collaboration
GSNENY is taking girls to the beautiful country of Ecuador in the summer of 2014! Guided by Liz and Trisha, two Spanish teachers from the GSNENY Region with experience in international travel, girls will see the natural wonders of Ecuador, including rain forests, volcanoes, and the snow-capped Andes, and will also experience the bustling cities and the rich Incan history. Participants will have the unique opportunity to meet and interact with Girl Guides in Ecuador. While girls do no need to know any Spanish to attend the trip, participants will learn and practice some Spanish while in this culturally diverse country!

Here are the details:
Dates: July 2-16, 2014 *dates subject to change*

London Calling
Are you interested in traveling to London’s Pax Lodge to meet with other Girl Scouts and Guides from around the world? In August of 2014, led by Meaghan an international education professional, GSNENY participants will embark on an 8-day journey to London, England to participate in the “Journey Through London” program at Pax Lodge! As the program description states, “‘Journey Through London’ is a week long summer event for girls to discover London with other members of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, participate in a community service project, and celebrate the international spirit of the movement in the city where it all began.” We will even be camping for three of the days on Brownsea Island, the birthplace of scouting!
