Girl Scout of Northeastern New York’s summer overnight camps offer incredible opportunities for girls to experience the outdoors in a safe and caring community, to explore the world around them and to thrive in an environment where each girl will build courage, confidence and character!
Our overnight camps offer a wide variety of exciting program opportunities for girls entering grades 2-12. With program lengths ranging from two nights to three weeks, there’s something for everyone. During her stay at camp, your camper will be busy with swimming, boating, arts and crafts, sports, hiking, nature exploration, songs, cook-outs, campfires and all-camp activities.
Hidden Lake Camp
Hidden Lake Camp is nestled on 400 acres in the southern portion of the Adirondack Park, approximately 3 miles from Lake George Village. The camp includes a small private lake, streams, low mountains, and woodlands. Facilities at Hidden Lake Camp include, platform tents and lean-to units, a modern dining hall, health lodge, shower house, buildings for programming and inclement weather, a large playing field, swimming and boating areas, a high and low ropes course and hiking trails. While at camp, girls live in platforms tents or in lean-tos units and sleep on cots with mattresses. Each child has room for personal belongings. Counselors sleep in nearby tents or lean-to. Tents and lean-tos hold between 4-6 girls. All units include a shelter for activities and inclement weather, an outhouse, wash stations, water spigots and a campfire circle. Girls are assigned to units according to programs and age.
Activities at Hidden Lake Camp include: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature activities, sports, rock climbing, high and low ropes course, horseback riding (off site), outdoor living skills, drama, photography and arts and crafts.
Lake Clear Camp
Lake Clear Camp is situated on a 91 acre scenic peninsula on Lake Clear. Located 20 miles from Lake Placid and adjacent to the St. Regis Canoe Area, Lake Clear Camp is surrounded by breathtaking state land in the Adirondack Park. Facilities at Lake Clear Camp include cabins with full baths (toilet, sink and shower), a dining hall, a health center, a shower house, buildings for programming and inclement weather, a playing field, swimming and boating areas, and hiking trails. While at camp, girls live in cabins of 8-15 girls and sleep on bunk beds. Each child has room for personal belongings. Counselors sleep in the cabins with the campers. Each cabin has a full bath with toilet, sink and shower.
Activities at Lake Clear Camp include: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature activities, sports, horseback riding (off site), outdoor living skills, and arts & crafts.
