GS Blog

Our website was completely redesigned almost 2 years ago, and we wanted to take this time to freshen up its appearance and some functionality.  As you can see, the website is now up and running with the new refreshed design.

Due to low girl participation the Girl Scout Profile has been changed to a Volunteer Profile

We’ve already got a few profiles, but would love many, many more.  Our goal is to share with the public why girl scouting means so much to our volunteers and the level of commitment each and every one of you brings to the movement and the council.

To be added to the Volunteer Profile on our website all you have to do is answer a few questions (form located here) and send a photo in a JPEG format to info@gsneny.org.

  1. How about doing profiles of our Gold Award recipients –and honoring each one of them by highlighting their project on the webpage or facebook page ( like Girlscouts of the nations capital does here is an example-https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/549533_490179727693817_2011454422_n.jpg
not only would this honor our Gold Award Girls, but can inspire others with the descriptions of their projects and impact they have made
