Local Clifton Park Junior Girl Scout Troop 2278 visited the Albany Ronald McDonald House where the girls delivered hand-made quilts and blankets for the families staying at the RMDH. The troop was inspired to make quilts after participating in the annual Shenendehowa Quilt Project. Troop 2278 was helped by Sarah Coons’s Daisy-Brownie Troop 2599. Materials were donated by Clifton Park residents. Funds were also raised by a bottle/can drive lead by Brad Piziali. The Blankets of Care Project was completed as community service toward earning the prestigious Girl Scout Bronze Award. For more information about the Ronald McDonald House visit www.rmdh.org.
