More than 1,200 girls—girls from every Girl Scout council in the nation—will converge in Houston for the 2011 National Girl Scout Leadership Institute (GSLI) held parallel to the National Council Session from Thursday, November 10, to Sunday November 13.
This year’s GSLI is themed “Leadership and Innovation, the Next 100 Years,” with a
focus on interactive sessions designed to excite, inspire, and prepare girls to become
leaders and encourage them to take action in the world around them. Each Girl Scout
council has been invited to bring a group of ten Girl Scouts ages 13 and older, as well as
two chaperones to participate in the event. GSNENY is now accepting applications from
girls who would like to attend as part of our council team! If you want to be a part of this
historic kick-off to the Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary, please submit your application
before JULY 1st to Emily Stoehr at the Queensbury Service Center or estoehr@gsneny.org. All application forms can be found on our website: CLICK HERE
